LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles will be the host team for the NFL's first regular-season game in Brazil on Friday, Sept. 6 — a day after the 2024 season opener, Commissioner Roger Goodell said Monday. Goodell made news when he said the Eagles will play in Sao Paolo against a to-be-named opponent. It’ll be the first time in 54 years the NFL has played a game on Friday night of its opening weekend. The game will be played at the Corinthians Arena, home to Brazilian soccer team SC Corinthians. FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says Berlin has shown “a lot of interest” in hosting a game as the league plans to extend its agreement to play in Germany beyond 2025. “Düsseldorf, Berlin — there’s been a lot of interest there — so I think they’re all possibilities, yes,” Goodell said Saturday. Viktor Orban și-a anulat zborul spre Munchen și plănuiește să meargă în schimb la Bruxelles, unde joi începe summitul liderilor europeni, anunță BBC, cu trimitere la DPA. Purtătorul de cuvânt al premierului ungar a menționat: „nu furnizăm informații despre programul privat al lui Viktor Orban”. UEFA a respins solicitarea primarului din Munchen privind iluminarea stadionului Allianz Arena în culorile curcubeului la meciul de miercuri, dintre Germania şi Ungaria, în semn de protest față de o lege propusă de partidul premierului Viktor Orban și votată de Parlamentul de la Budapesta, care interzice „promovarea” homosexualităţii în rândul minorilor.
